CREATIVE
For the last 10 years in photography, I have had the pleasure of being at the forefront in the most colorful world of imagery. Having experience in Product, Portrait, Landscape and Event photography as well, Image Editing. This website offers up some of my work in both taking and editing the images to make sure they reflect the captured moment exactly as it was intended. My approach has always been to bring into the camera what both my eyes see and my mind imagines. A visual spectacle that both invites the viewer to not only see my creativity but allow their imagination to pull them in as if they were there seeing it with me as it was shot.
EXPERIENCE
In the Photography world, there are several avenues for which one can travel. I’ve been lucky to say I’ve been a part of several different broadening of my own horizons. For the past six years, I was heavily into doing Product Photography for a craft parts company. Before then I had been on board for Special Events like Fall Festivals, Portraits and even some Local Scenery around Fort Worth and Arlington. Now I bring my talents as a photographer and designer to San Antonio.
As with my Photography, so is the world of digital design been a long-time venue for my creative side. Having worked for varying sign and advertising companies, I learned the value of what a good production artist can bring to the table. Handling projects that span across Business Cards, Posters, Banners, Vinyl Signage to managing Four Color File Set-ups and Printing. It’s been compelling as much as it has been rewarding to be a part of the creative world that is Digital Design.
I’ve learned to partner my Digital Design with my Photography, it’s what I love to do. This website is proof of how well Design and Photography works so well together. Having everything look enticing and eloquent is every artist’s goal, it’s how you draw viewers into your world.
HARDWARE
Photography: The gear I employ is that of a Nikon D80 (10MP) DSLR and several Nikon Lenses, Speedlight and various filters. Of course, no photographer is without their trusty Tripod! My Lens collection is still growing but I do have an 18mm - 135mm, 50mm, 40mm (Macro), 70 – 300mm (VR). Every image on this site was taken with this gear, so you can see for yourself the quality I can produce.
Computer: The same goes for my computer as it does with my camera, it has to be as good and or better than my expectations. Therefore, I have chosen to build my own computers since the late 90’s. I find that you can build and maintain a well-built computer for years without ever having to worry over warranties. My system is of the following build…
Motherboard: MSI 970 GAMING (MS-7693)
Processor: AMD FX™ 8320 Eight Core Black Edition
Memory: G.Skill DDR3-1600 4x4 GB for 16 GB total.
SSD: 500 GB Scan Disk Ultra
Video: EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 950 w/ 2 GB DDR4
HDD: Over 1TB with two WD Raptor 10,000 rpm
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit
Then you have the DVD and BR drives as well as Monitors and other accessories. Though the system is built around a gaming design, it’s also more than capable of handling Graphics Design and my Photography work. I’ve been building computers for quite a while now, I build them to last.
SOFTWARE
As a Photographer and a Designer, the software used to produce the exact results needed can be quite extensive. For editing my Photographs, I use Adobe Lightroom before going into Photoshop. It allows me to keep a steady work flow and produce my work on levels I never thought possible before. For my Design work, it’s a combination of several based on what I’m working on. Again, Adobe comes to the rescue with Illustrator as well as Photoshop. Then if I’m doing any kind of video editing it is Premier that I am starting to make more and more use of. Software is like a toolbox, I have a different tool for every occasion! You also can’t be without MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint also have spots in my day to day work.
What Do I Offer You?
For a future employer, I offer my knowledge, skills, talents and an open mind to build upon a working relation. I thrive to find new challenges and ways to further my knowledge and skill set. If you’re at all curious and or wish to contact me? Head over to my Contact page and let me know if you need more information about myself or any else that you may be interested in that isn’t covered here on this site. I’m always eager to hear from others who share in my passions of Photography and Design.
May every day be as grand or better than the last!
